So, all makings of a studio to record "Bone Songs" are now ready, apart from a few cables: Macbook - check! M-Audio Firewire Audiophile - check! Ibanez Paduak Exotic wood small body acoustic - check! Trusty Sliver-spangled Martinez solid-top - check! Trusty Monterey LP Stage Custom -check! Electric/Old-school Accordions - Check! A passable knowledge of my new audio interface - check! (finally!) Live 6 - check! new mic (JTS NX-8) - check! new boom-mike stand - check! new xlr cables (shout out to andy who bought me one new one and has 3 old ones... grrr...) - check! Trusty old headphones - check! Amp and bookshelf speakers for monitoring - check! Trusty Condenser mic I have used for every recording (especially vox) since "song for a beatrice" - check! A buttload of songs - check! I'm all a-ready to go and it's all set up in a really workable studio set-up. I think I'm gonna' get my hands on a midi-controller for some wandering lap-pop stuff, or maybe just for drum leading tracks (don't worry, I'm not going all electro!). So! Yes! Yay! Please do not rob me. Also, wanted to pimp http://outsidethegame.blogspot.com |
